Lewit Awarded Lifetime Achievement Award

Scott Lewit, President and co-founder of Structural Composites, Inc received the Lifetime Achievement Award for Technology at the Florida Technovation/TechExpo in October. In recognition of this award Lewit was given a Congressional Medal of Merit from Congressman Bill Posey for the achievement. The Lifetime Achievement in Technology is presented to an individual whose impact, influence and work within the technology community has resulted in success of the organization(s) in which the individual has been associated, and who has also benefited the regional technology community as a whole.

Rolls-Royce Waterjets Delivered to New U.S. LCS

Rolls-Royce delivers advanced new Axial Mk1 waterjets for the latest US Navy Littoral Combat Ship (LCS). Rolls-Royce Axial Mk1 waterjets are very power dense, delivering more cavitation-free performance for their size and power than any other waterjet. At 22MW of power, a single waterjet of this scale can move almost half a million gallons of seawater per minute. Four of these waterjets will propel the LCS at speeds in excess of 40 knots. Edoc’s deBruyne Nominated for Executive of the Year

The Victoria Advanced Technology Council (VIATeC) in Victoria, British Columbia has nominated Edoc Systems Group’s CEO and Founder, Ron deBruyne, for the prestigious Executive of the Year award. Edoc develops Helm Marine Operations software for the workboat industry. “I am honored to receive this nomination,” said deBruyne. “It’s extremely rewarding to have our company recognized in such a way.”  deBruyne was nominated on the basis of Edoc’s contribution to the technology community in Victoria, revenue growth, corporate leadership, culture and innovation.
