Shell, Qatargas Sign LNG Deal for Kuwait

The world’s largest liquefied natural gas (LNG) producer Qatargas has signed a new, long-term LNG sale and purchase agreement (SPA) with Shell to deliver 1 million tons per annum of LNG to Kuwait, commencing this year.Saad Sherida Al-Kaabi, the Minister of State for Energy Affairs said, “We are pleased to announce this new long term agreement between Qatargas and Shell for the supply of LNG to the State of Kuwait, following the recent agreement signed between Qatar Petroleum and Kuwait Petroleum Corporation.

Qatar, Shell Partner on LNG Bunkering

QP Ships Naphtha to Thailand

Qatar to Invest USD 20 bln in US Energy Sector

Qatar to Boost LNG Production by 30% Amid Arab Dispute

State-owned Qatar Petroleum said Tuesday it aims to raise Qatar’s LNG production from 77 million to 100 million tons per year. The new additional volumes will be secured by doubling the size of the new gas project in the southern sector of the North Field, which Qatar Petroleum had announced last April. This will increase the North Field’s production of natural gas, condensate and other associated products by one million barrels of oil equivalent per day. Qatar Petroleum, Shell Sign LNG Bunkering Agreement

Qatar Petroleum and Shell signed a framework agreement to develop global LNG bunkering facilities on Tuesday, Qatar Petroleum said. "We view LNG bunkering as a promising opportunity for LNG to further grow as a clean energy source," Qatar Petroleum CEO Saad Sherida Al-Kaabi was quoted as saying. "LNG demand for bunkering is expected to increase significantly over the coming years and we believe there is real potential for such demand to reach up to 50 million tons per annum by 2030," he said.

Qatargas, RWE Ink SPA Deal for LNG Deliveries

Qatargas, the World’s Premier LNG Company, today announced a flexible Sale and Purchase Agreement (SPA) with RWE Supply Trading (RWEST), a leading European electricity and gas company. UASC, Qatargas and Shell Join to Push LNG as Marine Fuel

Qatargas, United Arab Shipping Company (UASC) and Shell signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to explore the development of LNG as a marine fuel in the Middle East region. This is the second such agreement signed by Qatargas and Shell in as many months and establishes another core partnership within the shipping industry. The MoU was signed by Qatargas chief executive Khalid bin Khalifa al-Thani, UASC chief executive Jorn Hinge and Qatar Shell Companies managing director and chairman Michiel Kool.

Qatargas in 4-Year Deal to Supply LNG to Kuwait

Qatargas and Kuwait Petroleum Corporation (KPC) have signed a deal to supply half a million tonnes of liquefied natural gas (LNG) to Kuwait over the next four years, according to a report. The LNG will be sourced from Qatargas 2, a joint venture among Qatar Petroleum, ExxonMobil and Total which started production in 2009, and will be delivered onboard Q-Flex LNG Vessels, chartered by Qatargas, to KPC’s Mina al-Ahmadi LNG receiving terminal in Kuwait. Qatar Petroleum Delivers 500th LNG Cargo UK

Qatar Petroleum (QP) has announced the delivery of the 500th liquefied natural gas (LNG) cargo from QP affiliate Qatar Liquefied Gas Company (2) to the South Hook LNG Terminal at Milford Haven in the United Kingdom.
