Window Joins SIMWAVE as Navigation Manager

As of August 2017 Steve Window has joined SIMWAVE, the maritime simulation center in Rotterdam, the Netherlands. As the Manager for Navigation, Window will be responsible for overseeing all training and assessments on the various full mission bridge simulators that will be installed at the 5,000m² center. Obituary: David Doig, Chief Executive of OPITO

OPITO, a global oil and gas industry skills, standards and workforce development organization, is deeply saddened to confirm the death of its chief executive David Doig. Mr Doig, 57, who was based in Dubai, suffered a heart attack on December 31st and later passed away peacefully in hospital in Fife, Scotland. Cuthill Appointed GM at InterMoor

InterMoor, an Acteon company, has appointed Duncan Cuthill as general manager of InterMoor Marine Services Ltd in the U.K. Cuthill will report directly to Alan Duncan, managing director of InterMoor, and will be responsible for InterMoor Marine Services in the U.K. and Mediterranean regions. Cuthill has a bachelor’s degree in management systems from the Open University, a Post Graduate Diploma in systems practice and is a Master Mariner with extensive experience in the offshore oil and gas industry.

Aberdeen-based Veripos, suppliers of GNSS positioning services to the world offshore industry, has appointed Richard Turner as Global Business Development Manager responsible for continuing development of its worldwide operations, including acquisition of new business as well as commercial and contractual negotiations.
