Bahri Intros ‘ISupplier’ Platform

The Saudi Arabian logistics and transportation giant Bahri has announced the launch of its ‘iSupplier’ portal, as part of further strengthening its commitment to enhancing the quality of its services and deepening business relationship with key partners.The online platform will serve as a dedicated communication channel between Bahri’s Corporate Procurement and suppliers and contractors, it said.A fast and convenient platform, ‘iSupplier’ will enable Bahri to have easy access to a larger segment of suppliers and contractors in Saudi Arabia’s private sector.

Avantida, an INTTRA company, announced that CMA CGM and Hapag-Lloyd, two of the world’s largest liner shipping companies, are offering reUse container management services in Mexico. reUse is a container triangulation service for transporters made available on Avantida’s online platform. Brightoil Launches Online Bunker Trading Platform

International bunker trader and supplier Brightoil has launched a new suite of online tools that aims to transform the way bunker fuel is traded globally. North P&I Club joined a collaboration between shipping industry leaders, including BIMCO, DNV GL and the Marshall Islands Registry, to combat cyber criminals by committing to the CSO Alliance’s global information and reporting platform for digital attacks. The Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE) Aberdeen Section has announced the recipients of its annual student bursaries programme for 2015-2016. In total, £7,500 was awarded to seven students attending Aberdeen, Robert Gordon, Dundee, Heriot-Watt and Strathclyde universities. Almost 100 applications were received and for the first time this year, the shortlisted finalists were invited to present one of their answers from their bursary application to a panel of judges before the final recipients were selected.

Norway Approves Regs4ships Digital Products

The Norwegian Maritime Authority has recognized the Norwegian Regs4ships product as being the equivalent to the carriage of nautical publications in paper form. “The Norwegian Maritime Authority accepts Regs4ships digital products as the electronic equivalents, which meet the requirements in respect of the carriage of publications,” the maritime authority stated. Regs4ships is a searchable compliance database tool used ashore (via an online platform) and on-board vessels (via a DVD).
