Bollinger Announces Promotions

Bollinger Shipyards President and CEO Ben Bordelon announced the promotions of two key leaders. Jerome Eymard has been promoted to the position of Director of Human Resources, and Rachael Battaglia to the position of General Counsel. Jerome Eymard has a Bachelor of Science in Human Resources and a Master of Business Administration from Nicholls State University, and received his Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) certification in 2012. He joined Bollinger in 1999 and has been an integral component in the HR group’s success.

Danos Announces Executive Leadership Changes

David Cedro has joined the Danos executive team as vice president of finance and administration, with responsibility for overseeing the company’s domestic and international administration, finance and accounting activities. Meanwhile, James Callahan, who previously held the senior finance position, has moved into a new role as vice president of project services. Cedro has more than 25 years of experience in construction and energy accounting and finance, including management positions with Ernst & Young LLP, Arthur Andersen LLP and the Shaw Group.

Danos Names Staff Employee of the Year

Danos has announced that Scott Theriot has been named 2016 Staff Employee of the Year. The award is presented each year to a staff member who best embodies the company’s core purpose and values. Theriot first joined Danos in 2003, working part-time as a roustabout and fitter in the company’s fabrication shop in Larose while going to school. After graduating from Nicholls State University in 2008, he was hired full-time as a personnel coordinator. Nicholls' Maritime Management Program Continues to Grow

The College of Business Administration at Nicholls State University began offering students the option of maritime management as a degree concentration in the fall of 2013. In continuing Nicholls’ efforts to attract and serve new student groups, the maritime courses are also being offered to non-degree seeking individuals as part of a certificate program. According to Dr. Chadwick, director of the program, “We seek to accommodate both traditional students and those who are seeking to gain knowledge of the field, but not necessarily pursue a degree.

InterMoor Names Guidry Manager for West Africa

InterMoor has appointed Cohen Guidry regional manager, West Africa, the company announced on Thursday. Guidry, who is taking over InterMoor’s lead West Africa management role, will report to InterMoor Global President Tom Fulton. Guidry joined InterMoor in 2006 as HSE manager and has more than 20 years of experience in the offshore oil and gas industry in quality, health, safety and security roles. He served as InterMoor’s West Africa operations manager and grew the business in Nigeria, Ghana and Angola, and coordinated mobile offshore drilling units (MODU) for mooring systems installations.

Bollinger Hires Remont as Program Management Director

Bollinger Shipyards announced that Chris Remont has joined the company as Director of Program Management. Remont will oversee all aspects of Program Management for Bollinger Shipyard’s Lockport new construction facility, with an emphasis on the present U.S. Coast Guard Fast Response Cutter program. Bollinger Shipyards announces that Daniel “Danny” Richardel has been named Vice President-General Manager of Bollinger Marine Fabricators, Amelia, Louisiana. Ben Bordelon, Bollinger’s Chief Operating Officer made the announcement, stating, “Danny has been an integral component of Bollinger’s success in the many commercial and government programs we have completed over the years. Hoover Container Solutions Names Matis Sales Director

Hoover Container Solutions,a subsidiary of Hoover Group, Inc., has named Matt Matis as director of sales for the Gulf of Mexico region. Matis is based in Thibodeaux, La., and will work closely with Hoover’s facilities in Port Fourchon, New Iberia and Scott, La. Matis will lead Hoover’s Louisiana sales efforts with a focus on the offshore industry while managing several major customer accounts. Additionally, he will work closely with the Hoover and Dolphin Energy Equipment teams to develop an integrated product and service offering to better support customers.

Danos Announces Organizational Changes

Oil and gas operations partner Danos announced several personnel adjustments in various areas throughout the company. Mark Danos was named Division Manager of Construction and Fabrication. Mark joined Danos earlier this year as a Project Coordinator after eight years with ExxonMobil. Mark worked in various project management roles with ExxonMobil in Spain, Italy, Nigeria, Gibraltar, Angola and the U.S. He is a graduate of Louisiana State University with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering. He is the latest of the third generation owners to join the company.

Henry Appointed Director of IT at Bollinger

Bollinger Shipyards, Inc. announced the appointment of Chris Henry as Director of Information Technology. Henry will have overall responsibility for Information Technology, including the direction of business process reengineering, database system strategy and strategic and tactical information technology planning. A native of the South Louisiana region, Henry has been involved with information technology in the oil and gas industry and energy sectors for the past twenty-two years. Henry is a 1987 graduate of Nicholls State University with a B.S. in Computer Science.
