Inmarsat, KVH Industries Sign Reciprocal Distribution Agreement

Inmarsat and KVH Industries, Inc., today announced the signing of a reciprocal distribution agreement with immediate effect. Under the agreement, KVH becomes a non-exclusive, global distributor of Inmarsat’s Fleet One and FleetBroadband services, and Inmarsat becomes a non-exclusive distributor across all vessel types for KVH’s VideotelTM Basic Training Package, as well as for its NEWSlinkTM newspapers within the leisure and non-passenger merchant vessel segments, which will be offered as enhancements to Inmarsat’s Fleet Media service.

KVH Leads Maritime VSAT Market -Report

The mini-VSAT Broadband service of KVH Industries, Inc., has been cited in a newly published report as the market share leader in the maritime VSAT industry by vessels in service. "The COMSYS Maritime VSAT Report, 4th Edition" estimates that KVH's mini-VSAT Broadband customers account for 17.9% of the vessels using maritime VSAT service, as of the end of 2014. According to COMSYS, KVH's market share is nearly double the nearest competitor, whose customers account for an estimated 9.6% of vessels using VSAT service.

Ebola Safety Video Launched for Mariners

KVH Industries, Inc. is offering Videotel's new video about Ebola safety free to all mariners worldwide in an effort to increase awareness of the prevention measures that can help keep seafarers safe. KVH has created a website, www.kvh.com/EbolaSafety, for mariners to download the free video and an accompanying workbook. Mariners Get World Cup Coverage from KVH

KVH Industries, Inc. said it achieved a maritime first by delivering the entire World Cup Final to more than 1,000 seafarers via the IP-MobileCast content delivery service while the match was still in progress. The coverage of the final match followed a month in which video highlights of all World Cup matches were delivered via multicasting technology as part of KVH’s IP-MobileCast SPORTSlink service. The coverage provided a morale boost for crewmembers worldwide, many of whom are keen football fans, KVH said.

KVH Industries Q1 2010 Results

KVH Industries, Inc., (NASDAQ:KVHI) reported financial results for the first quarter ended March 31, 2010. Revenue for the first quarter of 2010 was $28.0 million, up 53% from the quarter ended March 31, 2009. Net income for the period was $2.1 million, or $0.14 per diluted share. During the same period last year the company reported a net loss of $2.6 million or $0.18 per diluted share, on revenues of $18.3 million. "I am very pleased with our performance during the first quarter as we set new records for quarterly revenue and net income.

KVH Q4 2009 Results

KVH Industries, Inc., (NASDAQ:KVHI) reported financial results for the fourth quarter ended December 31, 2009. Revenue for the fourth quarter of 2009 was $26.3 million, up 24% from the quarter ended December 31, 2008. Net income for the period was $1.8 million, or $0.13 per diluted share. During the same period last year the company reported net income of $0.3 million or $0.02 per diluted share. For the year ended December 31, 2009, revenue was $89.1 million, up 8% compared to $82.4 million for the year ended December 31, 2008.
