Keppel Partners GTT on LNG Solutions

BW Catcher Sails to North Sea

BW Offshore, a leading global provider of floating production services to the oil and gas industry, announced the sail away of the FPSO BW Catcher. The vessel has left Keppel Shipyard in Singapore and is currently in transit to the Catcher field in the central North Sea. BW Catcher is expected to reach UK waters early in the fourth quarter, depending on prevailing weather conditions. Upon its arrival, BW Catcher will commence a seven-year fixed term contract, with extension options of up to 18 years, with Premier Oil.

Golar LNG Partners in FLNG Hilli Episeyo Stake Acquisition

Golar LNG Partners announced that it has entered into a purchase and sale for the acquisition from Golar LNG Limited and affiliates of Keppel Shipyard and Black and Veatch of equity interests in Golar Hilli LLC, which will, on the closing date of the Acquisition, indirectly own the FLNG, Hilli Episeyo. The Acquired Interests represent the equivalent of  50% of the two liquefaction trains, out of a total of four, that have been contracted to Perenco Cameroon SA and Societe Nationale Des Hydrocarbures for an eight-year term.

Keppel to Deliver World's First Converted FLNGV

Keppel Offshore & Marine's (Keppel O&M) wholly-owned subsidiary, Keppel Shipyard Ltd (Keppel Shipyard), will soon deliver the world's first converted Floating Liquefaction Vessel (FLNGV) owned by Golar Hilli Corporation (Golar), a subsidiary of Golar LNG Ltd. The vessel was named Hilli Episeyo at a ceremony in Keppel Shipyard today. Upon its completion, the FLNGV will be put in operation offshore Kribi, Cameroon for Société Nationale des Hydrocarbures and Perenco Cameroon SA, and will be the first FLNGV project in Africa.

BW Offshore to get FPSO from Keppe

Keppel Shipyard Ltd (Keppel Shipyard), is on track to deliver a Floating Production Storage and Offloading (FPSO) vessel to BW Catcher Limited, a wholly-owned subsidiary of BW Offshore. When completed BW Catcher will be on a 7-year fixed term and 18 years of options contract with Premier Oil and will be deployed to the Catcher Field located in Central North Sea, UK. Keppel Shipyard's work scope on the FPSO include the installation and integration of topside modules. BW Catcher is scheduled for sailaway from the shipyard in the next few months and is on track to achieve its first oil in 2017.

Keppel Secures Marine Projects worth S$120 mln

Keppel Offshore & Marine Ltd (Keppel O&M)'s wholly owned subsidiary Keppel Shipyard Ltd (Keppel Shipyard) has secured four contracts worth a total of about S$120 million from repeat customers. Golar LNG Hit by Weak Market

Oscar Spieler-led LNG shipowner Golar LNG Ltd. (GLNG) on Tuesday reported a loss of $80.1 million in its first quarter. The results did not meet Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of seven analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for a loss of 41 cents per share. The operator of carriers for natural gas shipping posted revenue of $18.6 million in the period, also falling short of Street forecasts. Four analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $23.1 million. The early part of 2016 has witnessed a continuation of the weak LNG freight market, says a company statement.

Keppel Shipyard Wins FPSO Conversion Contract

Even as world energy prices continue to maintain low pricing levels, offshore contracts are there to be won. Keppel Offshore & Marine Ltd has secured a Floating Production Storage and Offloading (FPSO) conversion contract as well as three repair, upgrade and modification contracts worth a total of about S$125 million. The FPSO conversion project Keppel Shipyard will be undertaking is for Armada Madura EPC Limited, a joint venture between long-standing customer Bumi Armada Berhad (Bumi Armada) and Shapoorji Pallonji Group (Shapoorji Pallonji).

Totem Inks LNG Conversion Deal with Keppel

Totem Ocean Trailer Express announced that it has signed a contract with Keppel Offshore & Marine Ltd, wholly owned subsidiary Keppel Shipyard Ltd for the conversion of  the  Midnight Sun to dual fuel liquefied natural gas (LNG) propulsion. This is the world’s first major conversion of a large RO/RO vessel to LNG. The work will begin in December and is expected to be completed in 90 days. Keppel Group has clinched 35 awards at this year's Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) Awards, organized by the Workplace Safety and Health Council (WSHC) and Ministry of Manpower (MOM), Singapore. Keppel Signs $684m FLNG Conversion Deal with Golar

Keppel Shipyard has signed its third contract with Golar Gandria for vessel conversion works. The $684 million contract to convert a liquefied natural gas (LNG) carrier to a floating liquefaction facility (FLNG) with the subsidiary of United Kingdom-based Golar LNG will become effective by Sep 21, said Keppel. The contract will become effective upon the parties fulfilling certain conditions precedent by 21 September 2015. Golar Mulls Third FLNG deal

Golar LNG has signed a binding Heads of Terms with Ophir Energy Plc for the provision of the GoFLNG vessel Gimi. Golar has started discussions with partners Keppel and Black & Veatch aimed at exercising an option, under an existing framework agreement, for the ordering of a third GoFLNG unit similar to the Hilli and the Gimi. The vessel will replace the previously announced floating liquefaction storage and offloading (FLSO) that would have been supplied by Houston-based Excelerate Energy.

Keppel Bags Repeat Orders

Keppel Offshore & Marine Ltd wholly owned subsidiaries Keppel Shipyard Ltd (Keppel Shipyard) and Keppel Nantong Shipyard Co. Ltd have secured contracts from repeat customers worth a total of S$153 million. Keppel Shipyard's contract is for the conversion of a Floating Production Storage and Offloading (FPSO) vessel for Armada Cabaca Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of Bumi Armada Berhad (Bumi Armada) while Keppel Nantong's contract is to construct a submersible barge for Smit Shipping Singapore Pte Ltd (Smit Shipping), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Royal Boskalis Westminster Group.

Keppel's Senior Executive Director to Retire

Keppel Corporation Limited announced that Teo Soon Hoe, Senior Executive Director, Keppel Corporation will retire June 1, 2014. Teo will step down as Chairman of Keppel Telecommunications & Transportation Ltd (Keppel T&T) and non-independent director of Keppel Infrastructure Fund Management Pte Ltd (KIFM), Trustee Manager of Keppel Infrastructure Trust, with effect from the same date. Teo will continue to represent Keppel Corporation as its nominee director on the boards of Tianjin Eco-city companies, and k1 Ventures Limited.

Keppel Offshore & Marine Ltd's (Keppel O&M) subsidiaries Keppel Shipyard Ltd (Keppel Shipyard) and Keppel Nantong Shipyard Co. Ltd (Keppel Nantong) won five contracts worth about $120m in total. Keppel Shipyard undertakes Singapore’s first Ballast Water Treatment System (BWTS) retrofit project for a VLCC. MOL Tankship Management (Asia) Pte Ltd (MOL) has awarded Keppel Shipyard with a landmark Ballast Water Treatment System (BWTS) retrofit project. This is the first BWTS retrofit for an existing Very Large Crude Carrier (VLCC) owned by a Japanese shipowner as well as the first such installation to be undertaken in Singapore. The BWTS to be installed is the JFE Ballast Ace system, which was selected by MOL and supplied by JFE Engineering Corporation.

Keppel Shipyard Wins Two Contracts

Keppel Shipyard Ltd has secured two contracts worth a total of S$146 million (over $120 million) to convert a Floating Production Storage and Offloading (FPSO) unit as well as to fabricate and integrate an external turret mooring system for an existing FPSO unit. The first contract, from Single Buoy Moorings Inc (SBM), involves the conversion of the Very Large Crude Carrier (VLCC) M/T Concorde Spirit into a FPSO facility, to be named FPSO OSX-2. SBM had been engaged by OSX Brasil S.A.

FPSO OSX-1 Begins Journey Toward Brazil Production

FPSO OSX-1, the first floating production, storage and offloading vessel in OSX’s fleet, has concluded its conversion in Singapore and set sail for Brazil. The journey is estimated to take 40 to 50 days. The FPSO OSX-1 is commissioned to produce the first oil for itsclient OGX, which is expected to start oil production during the fourth quarter of 2011. Chartered by OGX for a period of 20 years at an average day rate of $263,000, FPSO OSX-1 will be employed in the Waimea accumulation, in the Campos Basin.

Keppel Joint Venture, Azerbaijan Shipyard

President of Azerbaijan, HE Ilham Aliyev breaks ground for the new yard in the presence of Singapore’s Minister for Foreign Affairs, Mr George Yeo. Fortifying its presence in the Caspian Region, Keppel Offshore & Marine Limited (Keppel O&M) joins hands with State Oil Company of Azerbaijan Republic (SOCAR) and Azerbaijan Investment Company (AIC) to develop and manage a new 52-ha shipbuilding and shiprepair facility in Baku, Azerbaijan. The new SOCAR-Keppel Shipyard will be developed over a period of two to three years with an investment of US$386 million.
