Asia’s First Ship-to-containership LNG Bunkering Performed in Singapore
Asia's first ship-to-containership liquefied natural gas (LNG) bunkering operation was undertaken in Singapore on Wednesday as vessel owner and operators continue to turn to the cleaner burning fuel to reduce their emissions and Singapore ramps up its efforts to become an LNG bunkering hub.French shipping company CMA CGM, a large adopter of LNG fuel for its containerships, said its vessel CMA CGM Scandola was fueled with 7,100 cubic meters (m3) of LNG from FueLNG Bellina, Singapore’s first LNG bunkering vessel.

Keppel to Build South East Asia’s First LNG Bunkering Vessel
Keppel Offshore & Marine Ltd (Keppel O&M) through its wholly-owned subsidiary, Keppel Singmarine Pte Ltd, has secured a contract from FueLNG, a joint venture between Keppel O&M and Shell Eastern Petroleum (Pte) Ltd, to build South East Asia's first Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) bunkering vessel valued at approximately S$50 million. Scheduled for completion in 3Q 2020, the dual-fuel LNG bunkering vessel will have a capacity of 7,500 cubic metres. FueLNG will receive a grant of up to S$3 million as part of the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore's (MPA) LNG Bunkering Pilot Programme (LBPP).
Keppel AmFELS to Build Two LNG Fueled Containerships
Keppel AmFELS, a wholly owned subsidiary of Keppel Offshore & Marine Ltd (Keppel O&M) in the United States (US), has secured a contract worth more than US$400m from Honolulu-based Pasha Hawaii for the construction of two Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) fueled containerships. The dual fuel LNG vessels will be built to Keppel's proprietary design with delivery of the first vessel expected in 1Q 2020, and the second vessel in 3Q 2020. Three Keppel Dredgers for Jan De Nul

Keppel Shipyard undertakes Singapore’s first Ballast Water Treatment System (BWTS) retrofit project for a VLCC. MOL Tankship Management (Asia) Pte Ltd (MOL) has awarded Keppel Shipyard with a landmark Ballast Water Treatment System (BWTS) retrofit project. This is the first BWTS retrofit for an existing Very Large Crude Carrier (VLCC) owned by a Japanese shipowner as well as the first such installation to be undertaken in Singapore. The BWTS to be installed is the JFE Ballast Ace system, which was selected by MOL and supplied by JFE Engineering Corporation.

GE’s Power Conversion Business signs US$120-million contracts to support Petrobras’ Pre-Salt Drilling Program. Keppel AmFELS LLC, a wholly owned US subsidiary of Keppel Offshore & Marine Ltd (Keppel O&M), has completed the delivery of its fourth EXL jack-up rig to a subsidiary of Rowan Companies, Inc. (Rowan) (NYSE: RDC) with a perfect safety record, four months ahead of schedule and within budget. The jack-up rig was christened Rowan EXL-IV yesterday by Ms. Mary J. Dunaway and Ms. Audra M. Keppel Offshore & Marine Ltd (Keppel O&M), through its wholly-owned Brazilian subsidiary, Navegantes Maritime Construction and Services, has entered into an agreement with Brazil’s TWB Group to acquire the Estaleiro TWB shipyard in Navegantes, Santa Catarina. This acquisition is subject to the fulfillment of conditions by TWB Group. This 7.6-ha shipyard will be operated by Keppel O&M’s specialized shipbuilding arm, Keppel Singmarine. It has a 300-metre long waterfront and is equipped with a slipway, pipe and hull shops and an outfitting quay.
