Shanghai International Port Group Buys Kalmar Equipment

Kalmar, part of Cargotec, has secured an order to supply 15 units of container handling equipment to Shanghai International Port Group (SIPG).This order, including a total of 4 units of Reachstackers and 11 units of Empty Container Handlers, has been booked into the Cargotec 2018 second quarter order intake. Delivery of the machines is scheduled to take place in the third quarter of 2018.Founded in 2005, Shanghai International Port (Group) Co., Ltd. is the largest joint-stock port operator in China.

The Consolidated Grain and Barge Co. Maersk Line Scale Up Innovative Smart Reefers in India

In the past one year, Maersk Line, the global containerized division of the Maersk Group has enabled movement of multiple consignments of complex cargo out of India successfully, said a press release. Corvus Delivers for Hybrid Port Equipment

Corvus Energy will provide newly-designed lithium-ion energy storage systems (ESS) for a hybrid rubber-tired gantry crane (RTG) designed by CCCC Shanghai Equipment Engineering (CCCCSEE). The new ESS solution from Corvus is a smaller, ultra high power, liquid cooled system designed specifically to meet the RTG power requirements more cost effectively. Corvus Energy will provide newly-designed battery systems for a hybrid powered rubber-tired gantry crane (RTGs) that will be produced by integrator CCCCSEE for Shanghai Zhenhua Heavy Industry Co. Corvus to Deliver Battery Solutions to Chinese Ports

Corvus Energy has announced that it will provide Orca Energy lithium-ion energy storage systems (ESS) for four hybrid rubber-tired gantry cranes (RTGs) for CCCC Shanghai Equipment Engineering (CCCCSEE). The RTGs are the first of many cranes at the Chinese Port of Changshu to undergo a diesel to battery hybrid conversion using a Corvus Orca ESS. Corvus Energy will supply its latest generation ESS, Orca Energy, for the retrofit of four RTGs that will be converted to battery hybrid-electric cranes by integrator CCCCSEE.

Wilhelmsen Leverages Data on DNV GL’s Veracity Platform

Wilhelmsen is exploring concrete ways of leveraging their data on DNV GL’s Veracity industry platform. Carboline released Thermo-Sorb 263 and Thermo-Sorb E, VOC compliant intumescent coatings to provide a durable and decorative, fast drying fire protection solution for commercial and light industrial applications. Thermo-Sorb 263 provides up to four hours of cellulosic fires protection for interior structural steel. While Thermo-Sorb E provides up to three hours of cellulosic fire protection for exterior structural steel. Thermo-Sorb 263 and Thermo-Sorb E have been tested and certified in accordance with ASTM E- 119, UL 263 and CAN/ULC S 101-07 and is rated for exterior and interior use.

Kalmar Rolls Out New Range of Equipments

Kalmar, part of Cargotec, launches a new range of equipment designed to offer customers in the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region a value-based choice of the high quality, reliable equipment that Kalmar is known for. Based on Kalmar's proven G-generation platform, the Essential range includes reachstackers, empty container handlers and forklifts. New Milestone for Nauticor`s LNG Bunker Operation

Nauticor has conducted the largest-ever LNG bunkering operation in Germany in the Elbehafen in Brunsbüttel. The hopper dredger "Scheldt River" received 85 tons of the environmentally-friendly fuel in a truck-to-ship operation this week. Additional LNG bunker operations for "Scheldt River" are already scheduled for the Elbehafen. On Monday, February 12th, Elbehafen Brunsbüttel, part of Brunsbüttel Ports GmbH, has established itself once again as an appropriate location for liquefied natural gas (LNG) bunker operations.

Eagle LNG Joins SEA\LNG Coalition

The recently formed cross-industry coalition SEA\LNG is growing, now with the addition of bulk LNG provider Eagle LNG Partners as the first new industry partner to the coalition. SEA\LNG is a multi-sector industry coalition that aims to accelerate the widespread adoption of liquefied natural gas (LNG) as a marine fuel. Officially launched in July this year, founding partners include Carnival Corporation & plc, DNV GL, ENGIE, ENN, GE, GTT, Lloyd’s Register, Mitsubishi Corporation, NYK Line, Port of Rotterdam, Qatargas, Shell, TOTE Inc. and Wärtsilä.

Turner Designs now offers a C6P Submersible Sensor package enabling up to six sensors in a corrosion resistant, highly durable, Delrin plastic housing able to withstand even the harshest of environments. Swedish nozzle manufacturer, Unifire AB, has announced that it has newly hired a sales manager Fatos Krasniqi to head up, expand and improve the company's handheld nozzle division. Since 1969, Unifire has been a manufacturer of professional nozzles for firefighting and industrial applications. Krasniqi had previously been a key Unifire nozzles salesman and in 2005 joined Wilhelmsen, a global maritime industry group. ZF Acquires Bosch Rexroth Industrial Gears Arm

Following the go-ahead from antitrust authorities, on December 1, 2015 ZF has officially taken over the industrial gears and wind turbine gearbox business from Bosch Rexroth AG. With this, some 1,200 employees altogether at the Witten, Beijing and Lake Zurich (USA) locations will thus join the technology company. The purchase price has not been disclosed. For ZF, the acquisition is an entry into the business with large industrial gears that are used in oil rigs, mine vehicles, tunnel drilling machines, or cableways, for instance.
