Haugsdal to Take Over as Kongsberg Maritime Head
Egil Haugsdal has been selected to take over as President of Kongsberg Maritime. Haugsdal holds extensive leadership experience from KONGSBERG, currently leading Kongsberg Oil & Gas Technologies, with previous experience as Executive Vice President of Business Development and as President of Kongsberg Protech Systems. Haugsdal will assume his new position after a short period of overlap with current president Geir Håøy, who will assume the position of CEO of KONGSBERG in June 2016. “I am delighted with the confidence I have been given,” Haugsdal said.
Kongsberg Maritime Acquires SMSC
Kongsberg Maritime has signed a contract to buy the Trondheim-based ship simulation and consultancy company, Ship Modelling & Simulation Centre AS (SMSC). New EVP for Kongsberg Maritime Subsea Division
Bjørn Jalving has been appointed as Executive Vice President of Kongsberg Maritime’s Subsea division and a member of the Kongsberg Maritime management group, effective 1st January 2012. Jalving succeeds Rolf Arne Klepaker, who is moving to a role working with strategic projects in Kongsberg Maritime. Jalving started in Kongsberg Maritime in 2006 as Senior Principal Engineer in the AUV (Autonomous Underwater Vehicle) department. Since 2007, he has been Vice President for HUGIN AUV activity and part of the Subsea management group.
Kongsberg Concludes Acquisition of Evotec AS
Acquisition completes following July 4th announced agreement in principle.
