Descartes Acquires Aljex

Descartes Systems Group, specialist in logistics software, supply chain management software, and cloud-based services for logistics businesses, announced it has acquired Aljex Software, Inc., a cloud-based provider of back-office transportation management solutions for freight brokers and transportation providers. Descartes acquired Aljex for $32.4 million in cash, satisfied from Descartes’ existing acquisition line of credit. Serving freight brokers and transportation providers for over 20 years, Somerville, N.J. headquartered Aljex has built a robust platform backed by deep domain expertise.

Descartes Systems Group said it has acquired the assets of Philadelphia based PCSTrac, Inc., including certain related assets of Progressive Computer Services Inc. dba PCS Technologies. U.S.-based PCSTrac helps specialty retailers and logistics service providers collaborate to improve carton-level visibility for shipments from distribution centers (DCs) to stores. PCSTrac’s solutions provide visibility and insight into the store replenishment supply chain, helping increase sales, enhance loss prevention, and improve inventory control.

Descartes Announces Public Offering

Descartes Systems Group today announced the commencement of a marketed, underwritten public offering of 9,500,000 Common Shares. The underwriters will also have the option, at any time not later than the 30th day after the filing of the final prospectus supplement, to purchase up to 1,425,000 additional Common Shares on the same terms and conditions, to cover their over-allocation position, if any.
