China Shipyards Deliver Two More Bulkers

COSCO Corporation (Singapore) say a bulk carrier has been delivered from each of its two subsidiary shipyards in China. 1. COSCO (Zhoushan) Shipyard Co., Ltd has delivered a bulk carrier of 57,000 dwt, “OCEAN LOVE”, to its European buyer. This ship measures 189.99 meters in LOA and 32.26 meters in breadth. 2. COSCO (Dalian) Shipyard Co., Ltd has delivered a bulk carrier of 82,000 dwt, “XIN TANG SHAN HAI 1”, to its Chinese buyer. This new  bulk carrier measures 229 meters in LOA  and 32.26 meters in breadth.

MTU to Supply 16 Gensets for Rolls Royce Design OSV's

Tognum to supply 16 marine gensets with MTU Series 4000 engines as part of Rolls-Royce UT-OSV design for 4 new CDL OSV's. Tognum will deliver 16 MTU marine generator sets with 12V 4000 M23S Ironmen engines for four Rolls-Royce UT 771 CDL offshore supply vessels (OSV) to be built at COSCO (Zhoushan) Shipyard Co. Ltd. in China. The gensets are part of a £26 million Rolls-Royce order to provide an integrated design, power and propulsion and equipment package. COSCO will build the OSVs for a Hong Kong owner. The four vessels are scheduled for delivery in 2014.

Rolls Royce Gets COSCO Multiple OSV Contract

Rolls-Royce contracted to provide integrated design, power & propulsion & equipment package for four Rolls-Royce UT 771 CDL offshore supply vessels. Rolls Royce's  £26 million order is for vessels to be built at COSCO (Zhoushan) Shipyard Co. Ltd, in China for a Hong Kong owner. The contract includes options for four additional vessels. This contract is the first time Rolls-Royce has incorporated high speed MTU-engines as part of an integrated power and propulsion package within the successful UT-vessel series.

China Shipyards Deliver Three Bulk Carriers

COSCO Corporation (Singapore) announce deliveries of three bulk ships from its shipyards in China. Subsidiaries of the Company’s 51% owned COSCO Shipyard Group Co., Ltd have made the following deliveries: COSCO (Zhoushan) Shipyard Co., Ltd has delivered two bulk carriers of 57000 dwt, measuring 189.99 meters in LOA, 32.26 meters in breadth and 18 meters in depth. “OBSERVATOR” and “VOYAGER”, respectively to its European buyers. COSCO (Dalian) Shipyard Co., Ltd has delivered a bulk carrier of 57000 DWT, “GUOTOU 106”, to its Chinese buyer.
