Dan-Bunkering Hires Four New Traders

Dan-Bunkering has announced the hiring of four new team members for the office in Dubai. Trader-wise the Middle Eastern office is the second largest office in the Group, only marginally overtaken by the head office in Middelfart, Denmark.The four new appointments consist of four different nationalities, i.e. Nakul Dubey, Capt. Dan-Bunkering said it has hired three new Bunker Traders in its Dubai office.Benedek Nagy was born and raised in Hungary, however, at the age of 18 he moved to Denmark to study International Shipping and Trade as well as gain experience within the shipping industry.Fabio Rossetti grew up in Denmark and holds a graduate diploma in Managerial Economics and Innovation Management from Copenhagen Business School.Nemish Jose is of Indian descent. He is an MBA Port & Shipping Management graduate from Indian Maritime University and speaks English, Hindi, Malayalam, and Tamil.

Khaydukov Named President of PAO Novoship

The Board of Directors of Russian tanker shipping company PAO Novoship has elected Alexey Khaydukov as the company’s new President.Khaydukov replaces the firm’s previous President, Yury Tsvetkov, who stepped down from his role on August 8, 2018, following his appointment as a Deputy Minister of Transport of Russia, Head of the Federal Agency for Maritime and River Transport.Prior to his appointment, Khaydukov was Managing Director of SCF Management Services (Novorossiysk) Ltd.

Dan-Bunkering Employs Glarding as Bunker Trader

A/S Dan-Bunkering Ltd. has announced that as of May 1, 2016, Simon Glarding was employed as Bunker Trader with the office in Copenhagen.   Glarding  has a Bachelor’s degree in International Business Communication from Copenhagen Business School and has joined the office shortly after it moved into new facilities with several other Danish companies within the shipping industry as next door neighbors.

On August 1, 2016, Ulf Hahnemann, current Vice President for Strategic Programs at Mars Inc. will join Maersk Line as Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) and be part of the management board of Maersk Line. Maersk Line’s current Chief Human Resources Officer, Michael Chivers, resigned in January 2016 to explore opportunities outside of the Maersk Group. He will leave by the end of May 2016. DNV GL Appoints Engel as Energy CEO

DNV GL has appointed Ditlev Engel as the new CEO of its Energy business area. Starting April 4,  Engel will succeed acting CEO Elisabeth Harstad and report to the Group President & CEO Remi Eriksen. Engel will join DNV GL as CEO of the group’s Energy business area, which provides testing, certification and technical advisory services to the energy value chain including renewables, power grids, storage as well as energy use. He will be based at the DNV GL - Energy headquarters in Arnhem, The Netherlands and be a member of the Executive Committee for the DNV GL Group.

Odfjell Elects Klaus Nyborg Director of the Board

Odfjell SE’s Extraordinary General Meeting, held December 9, 2015, supported the Nomination Committee's proposal and elected Klaus Nyborg as new director of the Board. Nyborg, a Danish citizen, owns no shares in Odfjell SE and has no formal ties to major shareholders of the company, according to Odfjell. Nyborg was recently Interim CEO of DS Norden AS from 2014-2015, where he has also been on the board since 2012, and chairman since 2015. He also serves board director of several other companies, including being chairman of A/S United Shipping & Trading Company and BAWAT A/S.

Bunker Holding Hires Hughes in Group Operations

As of January 1, 2015, Bunker Holding, the parent company of a worldwide group of bunker companies, has employed Kristian Kent Hughes as Manager – Operations & Projects. He will work closely with and report to Søren Høll, Group COO of Bunker Holding. In addition to daily operations, Kristian will be responsible for managing, prioritising and developing projects across the group independently and in cooperation with Søren Høll.
