Kalmar Forklifts Delivered to ENTP

The marine industry equipment manufacturer Kalmar has delivered a total of 18 forklift trucks to Algeria's leading drilling contractor Entreprise Nationale des Travaux aux Puits (ENTP).According to a press release from Kalmar, part of Cargotec, the company  will also support ENTP with parts supply and provide operator training to their staff. The machines, ordered in the first quarter of 2018, were delivered during the third quarter.Established in 1981, ENTP is the leading drilling contractor in Algeria with a market share of close to 45 percent.

Kalmar Books Order for 30 Ottawa Terminal Tractors

Kalmar, part of Cargotec, has secured an order to supply a total of 30 Kalmar Ottawa T2 Terminal Tractors to the Tecon Santos container terminal in Brazil, operated by Santos Brasil Participações S.A. The order was booked in Cargotec's third quarter 2018 order intake, with delivery of the machines scheduled to take place through the first quarter of 2019.Tecon Santos is located in the largest port in Latin America and is one of Brazil's leading logistic company and biggest container terminal.

MacGregor Cleared to Acquire TTS' Marine & Offshore Units

MacGregor, a part of Cargotec, has yesterday received a clearance decision from the German Federal Cartel Office (Bundeskartellamt) for the company's acquisition of the marine and offshore businesses of TTS Group ASA, which was announced on 8 February, 2018.  The completion of the intended transaction is still subject to regulatory approvals in China and South Korea. MacGregor expects to receive these approvals by the end of 2018 and to complete the transaction, according to the agreement, as soon as possible thereafter.

Kalmar Bags Eurogate Order

Kalmar Supports Port of Long Beach Electrification

Kalmar, part of Cargotec, has signed a contract to supply a fully electric Kalmar Ottawa T2e electric terminal tractor to Long Beach Container Terminal (LBCT) for a six-month demonstration period. Kalmar, DP World Southampton Pact for Hybrid Straddle Carriers

Kalmar, part of Cargotec, has signed a contract with DP World Southampton to supply 12 hybrid straddle carriers for use at their container terminal, said a press release.The Southampton agreement also includes maintenance and operator training as well as six months of on-site maintenance support. The order was booked in Cargotec's 2018 third quarter order intake, and delivery is scheduled for Q2 of 2019. DP World Southampton is the UK port of choice for many global leaders in the container shipping industry.

Kalmar STS for Curaçao Port Services

Kalmar, part of Cargotec has signed a contract for supplying two Kalmar Ship-to-Shore (STS) cranes, including related spare parts, to Curaçao Port Services, said a press release.The Panamax size cranes will be used for modernising the customer's container handling operations at the Willemstad Container Terminal in Curaçao. The order was booked into Cargotec's 2018 third quarter order intake, and the delivery is planned to be completed by the end of 2019. The island of Curaçao is located strategically in the Southern Caribbean approximately 35 miles off the northwestern coast of Venezuela.

Driving Efficiently Towards Zero Emissions

HHLA Orders 10 Kalmar Straddle Carriers

Kalmar, part of Cargotec, has concluded a deal with Hamburger Hafen und Logistik AG (HHLA), a leading European port and transport logistics group, to supply a total of 10 new straddle carriers. This brings the total number of Kalmar straddle carriers ordered by HHLA in the last two years to 30, further demonstrating the strong relationship with Kalmar and the company's commitment to Kalmar equipment. Kalmar to Supply Customized RMGs at DCT Gdansk

Kalmar, part of Cargotec, has signed an agreement with Deepwater Container Terminal (DCT) Gdansk to supply three electrically powered rail-mounted gantry cranes (RMGs) with DCT specific customization. GMP Terminal de France Contracts Kalmar for Capacity Expansion

Kalmar Sells Rough Terrain Handling Business

Kalmar, part of Cargotec, has signed an agreement to sell its rough terrain handling business, Kalmar Rough Terrain Center (KRTC), to the management and a Texas-based investment group, led by Independent Bankers Capital Funds (IBCF) and Congruent Investment Partners, LLC (Congruent). The contract was signed and is effective as of 29 June 2018. Kalmar Rough Terrain Center is a specialised manufacturer of rough terrain material handling equipment for both the defense and commercial markets. It is also a manufacturer and distributor of parts and a service provider to existing equipment.

Kalmar Bags Chinese Reachstacker Order

Kalmar, part of Cargotec, has received an order from China Railway Ürümqi Group Co., Ltd. to supply a total of 10 reachstackers. This order has been booked into Cargotec's second quarter 2018 order intake, with delivery scheduled to take place in the third quarter of 2018. The Ürümqi Railway Bureau is located in the core economic zone of the One Belt and One Road initiative and its railway line is the key connecting bridge for the new economic trade link between Asia and Europe.

Kalmar to Open North American Customer Experience Center in North Charleston

Kalmar, part of Cargotec, broke ground on a Class A industrial build-to-suit project in North Charleston, S.C., with developer Landmark Enterprises on August 15, 2018. The new Customer Experience Center (CEC) will serve as a showroom, training facility, demonstration area and customer service center for Kalmar's North American mobile equipment business, including counterbalance and container handling products."The Kalmar sales team is eager to open this facility in the critical Charleston market," said Steve Cianci, Vice President, Mobile Equipment Solution Sales.

Scott Phillips Appointed Hiab President

Scott Phillips has been appointed President of Hiab crane manufacturing division of Cargotec group as of 1 October 2018. He will be a member of the Cargotec Executive Board and report to CEO Mika Vehviläinen.
