Kalmar Signs Pact with Patrick Terminals

Kalmar, the provider of cargo-handling solutions and services to ports and terminals, has concluded a comprehensive software maintenance and support agreement with Australian terminal operator Patrick Terminals.The agreement, which covers the equipment automation systems at the company’s Brisbane and Sydney AutoStrad terminals, was booked in Cargotec's 2019 Q4 order intake, with the agreement coming into effect from November 2019, said the Cargotec unit.Patrick Terminals is Australia's leading container terminal operator, handling over three million TEU annually.

Kalmar Hybrid RTGs for Argentina

Kalmar, the provider of cargo-handling solutions and services to ports and terminals,  is delivering two rubber-tyred gantry cranes (RTGs) with hybrid drivelines for Exolgan S.A. container terminal in Buenos Aires, Argentina.The order that follows the delivery of four hybrid RTGs to the terminal this December, was booked in Cargotec's 2019 Q4 order intake with delivery scheduled to take place in late 2020, said a press release from the unit of Cargotec.The Exolgan terminal in Buenos Aires is a container-handling port terminal with strategic road, rail and river transport connections.

ARISE Mauritania Picks Kalmar Equipment

Kalmar, the provider of cargo-handling solutions and equipments to ports and terminals, has concluded an agreement to supply a suite of yard crane and mobile equipment to ARISE Mauritania for Nouakchott container terminal.The agreement includes four Kalmar Zero Emission rubber-tired gantry cranes (RTGs), one reachstacker, one empty container handler and two forklift trucks of the Kalmar Essential Range.The order was booked in Cargotec's 2019 Q4 order intake, with the delivery of all machines scheduled to be completed during Q3 of 2020.ARISE Mauritania…

Kalmar Supplies 9 Straddle Carriers to Eurogate

The  manufacturer of terminal tractors Kalmar has concluded an agreement with long-term customer Eurogate to heighten nine Kalmar straddle carriers operating at the Eurogate Container Terminal Hamburg.The order was booked in Cargotec's 2019 Q4 order intake, with the work scheduled to commence in Q1 of 2020 and be completed by the beginning of Q3, the unit of Cargotec said.Eurogate Container Terminal Hamburg is one of Northern Europe’s main transport hubs, offering excellent road, rail and feeder connections to the economic centers of Scandinavia, Central and Eastern Europe, and Russia.

Navis Acquires Jade Logistics

Cargotec division Navis has signed an agreement to acquire the assets of New Zealand-based Jade Logistics.Jade Logistics provides Master terminal operating systems (TOS) for mixed cargo terminals.With N4, Octopi and Jade Master Terminal, Navis can offer the flexibility of the right TOS for any prospective customer’s cargo requirements. Navis will establish a General Cargo Center of Excellence in Christchurch, New Zealand to serve the growing demand for mixed cargo solutions globally.

MacGregor Wins Orders from Europe

MacGregor Secures $22 mln in Contracts

MacGregor, part of Cargotec, has secured orders to provide MacGregor products to a Naval project in Europe and TTS products to a RoRo project in Asia. The total order value is more than $22 million and the contracts include ramps, car deck and lifting platform equipment. MacGregor Cargo System for World's Largest Boxship

MacGregor, part of Cargotec, has designed the cargo system for the world’s largest containership, MSC Gülsün, which was delivered in July 2019 by South Korea’s Samsung Heavy Industries. She is 400 m long, 61.5 m wide and is the first in a series of 11 ultra-large containerships with a capacity of more than 23,000 TEU. Six of the vessels are being built by Samsung Heavy Industries, and the other five by Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering.The system was developed in close collaboration with MSC from an early stage of the project.
