Bollinger Announces Promotions

Bollinger Shipyards President and CEO Ben Bordelon announced the promotions of two key leaders. Jerome Eymard has been promoted to the position of Director of Human Resources, and Rachael Battaglia to the position of General Counsel. Jerome Eymard has a Bachelor of Science in Human Resources and a Master of Business Administration from Nicholls State University, and received his Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) certification in 2012. He joined Bollinger in 1999 and has been an integral component in the HR group’s success.

Bollinger Wins Contract for Phase II FRC Builds

Louisiana shipbuilder Bollinger Shipyards announced it has secured a contract to build Phase II of the Sentinel Class Fast Response Cutters (FRC) for the United States Coast Guard (USCG). The FRC, the newest generation of USCG patrol cutters, is a replacement for the Coast Guard Island Class cutters that Bollinger built over three decades ago. Bollinger’s CEO and President Ben Bordelon said, “We are pleased with this award to build 26 FRC Coast Guard cutters. Our relationship with the Coast Guard began over 30 years ago and we are proud to continue building on that legacy.

SCA Presents Safety Award to Bollinger

Bollinger Shipyards was presented the 2015 “Award for Excellence in Safety” for the 11th consecutive year by the Shipbuilders Council of America (SCA) on April 14, 2016, during the association’s Annual General Membership Meeting in Washington, D.C. This award is given to member companies with the lowest total recordable incident rates (TRIR) based on a quarterly injury and illness survey conducted by the Association. Ben Bordelon, Bollinger’s President and CEO, said, “For 11 consecutive years, Bollinger Shipyards was recognized for outstanding performance in workplace safety.

Bollinger Delivers 17th FRC to the USCG

Bollinger Shipyards has delivered the USCGC Donald Horsley, the 17th Fast Response Cutter (FRC) to the United States Coast Guard (USCG). The Coast Guard took delivery on March 5, 2016 in Key West, Fla., and is scheduled to commission the vessel in Puerto Rico during May, 2016. The 154-foot patrol craft USCGC Donald Horsley is the 17th vessel in the Coast Guard's Sentinel-class FRC program. To build the FRC, Bollinger used a proven, in-service parent craft design based on the Damen Stan Patrol Boat 4708.

Mayall Joins Bollinger as VP Sales/Marketing

Bollinger Shipyards announces the addition of Joe Mayhall to its corporate sales and marketing team. Aaron Smith Takes the Helm at OMSA

Aaron Smith has been appointed as the new President and Chief Executive Officer of the Offshore Marine Services Association, Inc. (OMSA), the national trade association representing the U.S.-flag offshore workboat industry. Smith’s appointment follows the resignation of Ben Billings, who has led OMSA since 2013. Smith has held various positions in government and public affairs. He has been instrumental in the development of OSVDPA, a dynamic positioning certification authority for the OSV industry. Prior to that, he served in Washington, D.C.

Bollinger VP Fanguy Snags SNAME Award

Louisiana-based shipbuilder Bollinger Shipyards, LLC announced its vice president for quality management system, Dennis Fanguy, will receive the 2015 William M. Kennedy from the Society of Naval Architects & Marine Engineers (SNAME). The award, given in recognition of outstanding service and contribution in the development of systems and planning applying to shipbuilding and ship repair, will be presented to Fanguy at the World Maritime Technology Conference / SNAME Maritime Convention in Providence, R.I. at the President’s Luncheon on November 6, 2015.

Bollinger Appoints Sales VP

Bollinger Shipyards announces the promotion of Eric Bollinger to Vice President of Sales.   President and CEO Ben Bordelon made the announcement, stating, “Eric has been a key contributor to our company’s sales efforts for over 39 years. His knowledge and understanding of our markets will benefit and support our customer service and customer relations efforts. Bollinger Achieves Continued ISO 9001 Certification

Bollinger Shipyards, LLC announced that it has achieved continued registration to ISO 9001 for another three years without interruption since 1996. The scope of Bollinger Shipyards certification, issued through Denver-based ISO 9001 management certification firm, Platinum Registration, Inc., includes the design, manufacture, repair and logistical support of marine vessels and their components, as well as in shop and field service repair of AC and DC motors and generators. “This is an important milestone for Bollinger Shipyards, LLC,” said Ben Bordelon, Bollinger President and CEO.

Bollinger Receives Two SCA Awards

Bollinger Shipyards President and CEO Ben Bordelon announced today another key internal promotion designed to enhance the strategic value of the Company. “I am pleased to announce the promotion of Chris Remont to Vice President and General Manager of our Lockport New Construction division (BLN). Bordelon went on to say “Chris joined Bollinger in May 2014 as Director of Program Management overseeing all aspects of Program Management at BLN. Bollinger Safety Program Achieves Milestones

Bollinger Shipyards, Inc. continues to achieve safety milestones changing the culture of shipyard safety awareness at its US based facilities. In the last quarter, Bollinger facilities at Algiers and Lockport New Construction both surpassed one year without a lost time accident. Of the many program achievements this year, the Bollinger Fourchon facility reached 10 years without a LTA, and the Bollinger Marine Fabricators’ facility reached an impressive 2,750,000 man-hours worked without a LTA.
