Azerbaijan Caspian Shipping Company's “Jafar Jabbarli” Back to Operation

“Jafar Jabbarli“ dry cargo vessel owned by Marine Transport Fleet of CJSC Azerbaijan Caspian Shipping Company has been overhauled by “Zigh” ship repair yard. A lot has been done during the overhaul which took almost a year. All corroded metal layers available in the hull, deck, cargo storage facility and other parts of the vessel with a safe load capacity of 3850 tons were replaced, and 350 tons of metal were used for this purpose. State cabins were overhauled in line with modern standards and supplied with new equipment and furniture.

Russian Maritime Register of Shipping Visits ACSC

Azerbaijan Caspian Shipping Company (ACSC) held a meeting with Konstantin Palnikov, the General Director of the Russian Maritime Register of Shipping (RS), which is one of the well-known classification societies. Balaken Restarts Operation after Overhaul

The overhaul of the ferry vessel “Balaken”, belonging to the Transport Feet of Azerbaijan Caspian Shipping Company, is completed. The ship successfully passed the sea trials. Major repairs of steering and auxiliary equipment, engine mechanisms, various pumps, main and auxiliary engines of the vessel were completed. Some parts are replaced with new ones. The cleaning and painting of the underwater and surface of the ferry was done. Caspian Shipping Commissions 4 Vessels

Azerbaijan Caspian Shipping Company has put into commissioning four dry cargo vessels that will operate beyond the pale of the Caspian Sea, reports AzerNews. An event to raise Azerbaijan`s state flag in the “Vagif”, “Sabir” “Huseyn Cavid” and “General Hazi Aslanov” vessels was held at the Tersan shipyard in Yalova region of Turkey on June 11. Caspian Shipping Company has also opened its office in Istanbul within the framework of the event. The number of dry cargo vessels of Caspian Shipping Company operating outside the Caspian Sea currently amounts to 11.

Azerbaijan to Get New Passenger Vessel This Year-end

Azerbaijan Caspian Shipping Company  expects to get the first of the three passenger vessels being built currently at the Baku Shipbuilding & Repair Plant (Baku Shipyard LLC) until the end of 2015, reports the Trend. The cases of all three ships are already built and the company plans to commission the first of three passenger vessels designed for 80 people.
