APM Terminals Pipavav Boosts Efficiency

The implementation of a range of simple measures to streamline shift changes at APM Terminals Pipavav has reduced vessel idle times, added capacity and reduced impact on crane moves per hour due to shift change by around 16%.At the same time, it has also improved trailer driver and crane operator safety, said a press release from APM Terminals, an international container terminal operating company headquartered in The Hague.The Pipavav team has introduced clearly marked parking bays for terminal trailers, which provide a safe distance between each trailer.

CMA CGM Starts Weekly Service from Port Pipavav

The dedicated scheduled import train from Port Pipavav to Garhi Harsaru [NCR region] is operated by Gateway Rail Freight Ltd. (GRFL) for CMA CGM. The import train arrived at Garhi Harsaru on June 12th, 2019 and was received by Mr. Ugo Vincent, Managing Director CMA CGM India, and senior management from CMA CGM, Gateway Rail Freight Ltd. (GRFL) and APM Terminals Pipavav. The Import train which connects Pipavav to Garhi, Ludhiana & Piyala has a capacity of 180TEUs in a single run.The scheduled train service will provide reliable, safe and quick transport of commodities to the NCR region.

APM Terminals Pipavav Launches Intermodal Service

Digitisation Helps APM Terminals Pipavav

With more than 500 trucks per day passing through the gates at APM Terminals Pipavav, even the smallest efficiency improvement quickly adds up to 100s of hours saved per day. The terminal’s latest digital solution also offers significant environmental benefits, cost savings and improved safety. APM Terminals Pipavav have developed an online version of Form 13 (gate-in permits issued by terminals) required for each import/export container. Known as e-form 13, it will save close to 3 million kilometres of road trips and their associated carbon emissions each year.

APM Terminals Pipavav Profits Slide

APM Terminals Pipavav (Gujarat Pipavav Port Ltd), has announced its financial results for the third quarter ended December 31, 2017. The company reported a net profit of INR 500 million  ($7.8 mln) for Q3FY18 as against INR 645 million ($10 mln)  in Q3FY17. Total Income for the quarter under consideration stood at INR 1,627 million ($25.5 mln) as against INR 1,692 million ($26.5 mln) in Q3FY17. EBIDTA for the quarter was at INR 947 million ($14.8 mln) and EBIDTA margin stood at 58%.

APM Terminals Pipavav Welcomed Inaugural Container Train Service

APM Terminals, Pipavav received the inaugural container train from Rail Container Terminal [RCT], Vadodara carrying Glass Materials, Syringes, Led Bulb, flexible intermediate bulk container [FIBC] Jumbo bags, Plastic Articles for export. Operated by Container Corporation of India [CONOCR], the inaugural trip of the container train service was welcomed by officials from Railways, CONCOR, APM Terminals and Liners. Vadodara is the trade Center of western India having industries like Petrochemicals, Engineering, Chemicals, Pharmaceuticals, Plastics, IT and Foreign exchange services amongst others.

APM Terminals Pipavav one of Western India’s gateway ports, in association with Shri Bhagwan Mahavir Viklang Sahayata Samiti (BMVSS), Ahmedabad; SBI Mutual Fund and Shri Somnath Trust successfully organized a camp for the physically challenged individuals of Amreli of Rajula, Jaffrabad, Khamba, Savarkundla and Mahua villages. APM Terminals Pipavav (Gujarat Pipavav Port), one of western India’s fastest growing gateway ports has been awarded the Inland Container Depot (ICD) Preferred Terminal of the year at the 4th edition of the Gujarat Star Awards held in Ahmedabad. The port has been given this award for two consecutive years. Last year the port was awarded “ICD preferred port of the year 2014” at the 3rd Gujarat Star Awards. APM Terminals Pipavav Handles 10,000 TEU vessel

Gujarat Pipavav Port Ltd (APM Terminals Pipavav) announced the successful berthing of the largest container vessel with capacity of approximately 9,971 TEUs in the history of the port. Maersk Saltoro is the largest container ship (981 feet long) ever to call at APM Terminals, one of western India’s fastest growing gateway ports. "The berthing of Maersk Saltoro, at nearly 10,000 TEUs capacity, reaffirms APM Terminals Pipavav’s operational capabilities and infrastructure,” said Keld Pedersen, managing director of APMT Pipavav, in a written statement.

RoRo Operations Start at APM Terminals Pipavav

APM Terminals Pipavav (Gujarat Pipavav Port Ltd) and NYK Auto Logistics (India) today announced the commencement of RORO operations at Pipavav Port. Ford Motors India Pvt Ltd dispatched the first lot of its new Ford FIGO built in its Sanand plant in Gujarat for exports. The first RoRo vessel, m.v.Grand Dahlia, berthed at Pipavav on August 26 and loaded 1,300 vehicles. Officials from APM Terminals, NYK Auto Logistics and Ford Motors welcomed the vessel and marked the inauguration of RoRo operations with a simple ceremony held on board.

Pipavav Port Resumes Operations

Gujarat Pipavav Port (APM Terminals Pipavav) has resumed operations following improvement in weather conditions. Last week, the port operations were suspended due to the cyclonic weather conditions and breakdown of power supply and communication. Gujarat Pipavav Port Profit Jumps 16%

Gujarat Pipavav Port Ltd. (APM Terminals Pipavav), operating one of western India’s fastest growing gateway ports, today reported a 16% jump in net profit for the fourth quarter ended 31st December 2014, as against INR 771 million in the corresponding quarter last year mainly driven by an increase in reefer cargo exports as well as increase coal and fertilizer imports.
