Wood Group Secures Apache's Subsea MSA Deal Extention
Wood Group has been awarded an extension to its master service agreement (MSA) contract with Apache Corporation in the North Sea. Wood Group will continue to deliver subsea engineering and consultancy services, in support of Apache's routine operation and maintenance works, as well as detailed engineering for future subsea developments across its entire North Sea portfolio; the Forties and Beryl areas, Scottish Area Gas Evacuation (SAGE) pipeline and the onshore SAGE facility at St Fergus. Effective immediately, the contract includes two one-year extension options.
Major Board Changes at Golar LNG
Pursuant to today's Notice of AGM, Shareholders are advised to note certain changes to the proposed Board. Chairman, Sir Frank Chapman, has decided not to stand for re-election at the forthcoming AGM, to release the two days a week he currently commits to Golar to focus on other interests. In addition Board member Kate Blankenship has decided not to stand for re-election due to other professional commitments. Both members have contributed significantly to the rapid expansion which currently takes place in Golar.
Apache Reports Fire on GOM Platform
Apache Corporation (NYSE:APA) reported a fire aboard its East Cameron (EC) 2 processing platform, in La. state waters of the Gulf of Mexico about two miles off the coast of Cameron Parish. The three personnel on the platform, all Island Operating employees, evacuated the platform and were rescued. They were all transferred to the hospital where Frank Richard, 34, of Mowata, La., died. The other two employees are being assessed. Island Operating provides contract operating services for Apache and other companies in the Gulf.
