LNG Issues to Be Addressed at SHIPPINGInsight 2013
LNG is the hot topic of the year, and will be a major focus of the 2013 SHIPPINGInsight Conference in October.
TOTE has placed orders for two new LNG-powered containerships at NASSCO, and is converting two existing ships on the Alaska service to LNG propulsion.
Mr. Chiarello will address the challenges, solutions and best practices for shifting to LNG as a marine fuel. Other speakers at the conference will discuss the various technical and infrastructure issues regarding the use of LNG.
The conference producers have confirmed senior executives from major shipping companies to serve as panel moderators, including APL, Gemini Tankers, Heidmar, Maersk, M.T. Maritime Management, Nordic Tankers, NYK LIne, Royal Caribbean, TBS/Roymar and V Ships. Other speakers will include representatives from major classification societies, consultants, industry experts and manufacturers.
The format for the 2013 conference will include tabletop exhibits, more engaging panel sessions moderated by representatives from ship operating companies, more case studies and networking opportunities.
