Fleet strength of Greatship Global Offshore Services Pte Ltd soars with the addition of one more vessel

Greatship Global Offshore Services Pte. Ltd. (GGOS) has taken delivery of Greatship Maya, a Multipurpose Platform Supply and Support Vessel (MPSSV), from Keppel Singmarine Pte. Ltd., Singapore. Greatship Global Offshore Services Pte. Ltd (GGOS) is a Singapore incorporated subsidiary of Greatship (India) Limited (GIL), a wholly owned subsidiary of The Great Eastern Shipping Co. Ltd. (GE Shipping).
Giving details of the vessel Mr. Sanket Rege, Head of Corporate Communications of the company stated, “Greatship Maya is a DP2, full service vessel built to exacting specifications, capable of supporting offshore exploration and production in various regions across the world and is one of the first vessels worldwide to be built complying with the new SPS Code 2008. With the delivery of Greatship Maya, GIL and its subsidiaries currently own and / or operate six PSVs, eight AHTSVs, two jack up rigs and one MPSSV.
GIL and its subsidiaries also have an order book of eleven vessels - three MPSSVs in Singapore, two MSVs in India, four ROVSVs in Sri Lanka and two 150 TBP AHTSVs in Batam .

A month back Greatship Global Energy Services Pte. Ltd (GGES) had taken delivery of a 350 FOOT 15000 PSI, Mod V B Jack up Rig, Greatdrill Chitra, from Keppel Felsyard, Singapore. GGES is a Singapore incorporated subsidiary of Greatship (India) Limited (GIL), a wholly owned subsidiary of The Great Eastern Shipping Co. According to Mr. Bharat K. Sheth, Dy. Chairman & Managing Director of GE Shipping the rig is capable of drilling in most offshore waters across the world and is a state of the art cyber rig, built with the latest in technology and systems. He stated, “Like this MPSSV and the Jack up rig all vessels are built to the highest standards of safety and operational efficiency, and conform to existing and envisaged IMO and Class rules, and are designed to operate in offshore waters across the world.
GIL is a wholly owned subsidiary of GE Shipping, the biggest private sector shipping company in India. With a fleet strength of 48 ships, GE Shipping has divided its operations into two businesses – offshore exploration and shipping. The shipping division is involved in transportation of crude oil, petroleum products, gas and dry bulk commodities. The offshore oil field service division offers services to the oil companies in carrying out offshore exploration and production activities by providing a gamut of assets viz. Exploratory drilling rigs, offshore support vessels, tugs, and construction barge. Both the shipping and offshore divisions have been awarded the ISO 9001: 2000 standard certification by DNV.
