Roxtec Services US Launched

December 5, 2016

Roxtec has launched a new inspection, maintenance and installation training company for the United States: Roxtec Services US aims to increase safety for the marine and offshore markets in the area of cable and pipe transits.

High safety standards require correctly installed, properly maintained and easily inspected sealing solutions. As sealing experts, Roxtec said it knows how important cable and pipe transits are when it comes to protecting life and assets.

No matter when the vessel or platform was built, it has most likely undergone upgrades which required changes to cable and pipe sealing. These upgrades, combined with years of maintenance in a tough, corrosive environment can quickly compound and negate any protection against fire, gas and water.

Roxtec Services will ensure that clients’ assets are fully compliant with international safety regulations pertaining to the use and maintenance of multi-cable transits. Specialist marine and offshore teams will be sent out to perform inspections and report back with recommendations regarding fixes and appropriate timeline.

Additionally, the team can also mark each transit to enable traceability and follow-up.

If the inspection report recommends corrective actions, the Roxtec Services team is ready to assist the operator with urgent actions onsite as well as with long-term services.

“By launching Roxtec Services US, we are providing our customers and users unprecedented access to the knowledge and expertise that has made Roxtec the world leader in modular cable and pipe penetration systems,” says Tom Flader, President of Roxtec Services US. “With classification societies requiring more frequent inspections, we see a tremendous opportunity to bring additional value to the industry.”

The mission of Roxtec Services US is to provide clients complete assurance and peace of mind that their assets are operating efficiently and are fully compliant with safety regulations. The inspectors will be able to assess if transits meet safety standards set by ABS, Lloyds, DNV GL and IMO.
