Security and Liability surrounding the Gulf of Mexico Platforms and Crew/Work boats
What is being done to minimize the risk to existing fixed and floating production platforms in the Gulf of Mexico in light of the continued potential for environmental disasters to occur with each blown out producing well?
The terrorist threat to our national security interests and to our ecomomical interests exist; Not to mention the potential devestation one or more additional BP size well releases in the Gulf of Mexico might cause to our overall enviroment.
I would hope that the individual lease operators would be hiring qualified specialist in rig security to advise them on how to reduce their risks from terrorists from both above and below the surface
