SNAME Annual Meeting
I wanted to be sure everyone was aware of the SNAME Annual Meeting and Expo - next week, October 21-23rd in Providence RI
On-Site Registration and Free, Expo-Only Attendance Information
The Marine Industry’s Premier Technical Event
October 21-23, Rhode Island Convention Center, Providence
On-site registration will be available at the Rhode Island Convention Center in Providence for The Society of Naval Architects and Marine Engineers (SNAME) 2009 Annual Meeting and Expo, October 21-23. Visitors may also attend only the Expo at the convention center and admission to this event is free.
On-site registration hours are:
10/21/09 9am - 5pm
10/22/09 8am - 5pm
10/23/09 9am - 12pm
Full registration for SNAME Members (name badge, Expo Hall President’s Reception, Technical Program, Panel Sessions: Electric Ships the Shipbuilders Perspective; Ocean Energy Wind, Waves, Currents; Autonomous & Unmanned Vehicles in and on the Ocean; Climate Change - Marine Air Emissions - Where are we? where are we going?, Business Session, President’s Luncheon, Expo, Expo Hall Morning Breaks, Expo Hall Lunch, CD ROM of proceedings is US $745. Non-member conference registration includes an opportunity for Society membership as an Associate Member for the year 2010 at no additional cost (completion of membership application required and the cost is US $945. Student registration includes all of the above, plus Young Professionals Student Social, Student Steering Committee Meeting, Student Job Fair, and Student Congress and Design Competition, Annual Banquet Ticket and the cost is US $100. Student non-member conference registration includes an opportunity for Society student membership for the year 2010 at no additional cost (completion of membership application required) and the cost is US $135. One-day registrants are provided with a conference badge, expo attendance and a CD of the proceedings. Thursday, October 22 attendees will have access to the expo hall, morning break and expo lunch and may attend the day’s technical program and panel sessions. The one-day registration cost is US $445 for SNAME members and US $645 for nonmembers.
The Expo at the Rhode Island Convention Center features exhibits from over 70 suppliers of marine industry products and services. Admission is free and the hours are 1 – 5 pm on Wednesday, October 21, 10 am – 5 pm on Thursday, October 22 and 9 am – Noon on Friday, October 23.

Looking forward to it- I heard a rumor that you're bringing next year's show to the Pacific Northwest. Hope that's true, it's a beautiful area!
