Hello from Toronto
Since I found no particular forum dedicated to introductions, I thought this may be a good place for it. I am a marine surveyor / consultant, working in both the recreational and commercial segment of the industry in Ontario Canada. I was invited to join Maritime Professional's forums, however I see very little relevance to my professional venue here at this time, especially since the bulk of my business is in the recreational realm of things. Nevertheless, I think this could be a good place for marine surveyors in general to engage in a dialogue with their peers on a common platform, outside of the structures of associations such as NAMS© / SAMS© - interaction, sharing of knowledge and learning from each other can only benefit us all.
I would be interested in starting a group for marine surveyors here, providing the owners or moderators of the site feel it would be appropriate.

RE:Hello fro Toronto
We would be happy to host a Marine Surveyors group- it's a great idea and would certainly appeal to many of our members. I have sent you a message with instructions on starting your own group.

RE:Hello from Toronto
Joe, As I understand it, the site and the blog are just starting out really. This is the perfect forum to launch a group and invite others to join. It is what we make of it...
