Welcome to Don Horton, 78-year-old North Carolinian, and author of one of the latest blogs on MaritimeProfessional.com

I interviewed Don Horton for an article in last November's edition of MarineNews. He grew up on tugs and barges off the U.S. East Coast during WWII and lost his brother to a German U-boat that attacked his brother's tug. Don has been championing the cause to get these coastwise merchant mariners of the second world war recognized as veterans, as the sea going merchant mariners have been.
