Gulf Coast hurricane intensity reduction
email rlarosa331@aol.com for copy of "Turbines can Suppress Loop Current to Reduce Gulf of Mexico Hurricane Threat."
Mean sea level (MSL) data at Grand Cayman Island is required to validate my assertion that the Loop Current (LC) intrusion depends on the difference in MSL between Grand Cayman and Settlement Point, Grand Bahama. How can we get Grand Cayman tide gages back in operation?
Explains why Loop Current (LC) remains narrow throughout its passage through Gulf of Mexico (GoM), what controls its length, the extra hydraulic drive power that controls the length, and how to absorb the power with turbines and produce electricity for the shore grid. This keeps the LC from intruding into the GoM so that it does not accumulate a large deep pool of warm water that can energize a hurricane.
